This method of calculating graduated drawer heights uses a Fibonacci (Fib - Oh - Notchy) series. Like the Golden Mean / Golden Ratio, Fibonacci series show up all over the place. Leaves arrange themselves around branches in a Fibonacci series - maximizes their exposure to sun light. The cells in a Nautilus shell follow a Fibonacci series. Perhaps that's why, when we see one, whether we consciously recognize them, they look familiar and comfortable.

The following should explain how to use a Fibonacci series to calculate drawer heights for graduated drawers.
