Configuring NewsXpress
This page will give you the essentials in settings up your NewsXpress
software to work with HyperSurf Internet news service.
Configuration

Launch NewsXpress

Click File and select Options...
-
From the Options window under the Servers and Directory tab:

In the News (NNTP) Server: field enter news.hypersurf.com
-
In the Mail (SMTP) Server: field enter smtp.hypersurf.com

Leave the rest of the fields as they were by default.

From the Options window select the Personal Information tab.

In the Full name: field enter your name as you would like it to appear
on all outgoing messages.

In the E-mail address: field enter your return email address as you would
like it to appear on all outgoing messages.

You can leave the Organization: field blank if you wish.
Click OK

NOTE: At this point, you should connect to the internet if you are not already
connected.
Click the File menu and select Connect
At this point, your NewsXpress software is downloading a huge list
of all the news groups available to you. This process will take a long time.
You can watch the status bar at the bottom which would indicate how many news
groups it has downloaded.
This is only a one time thing.
Once your download is done, you'll be ready to use your NewsXpress software!
