Setting Up and Using Eudora Light 3.0 in Windows

This page will give you the essentials for setting up Eudora Light 3.0 on Microsoft Windows 95/98 with your HyperSurf Email account.

Configuration

  1. Launch Eudora Light 3.0
  2. Pull down the Tools menu and select Options...
  3. Under Category
    • Select Getting Started
      1. In the POP account field enter username@popd.hypersurf.com
        (Where it says username, put your HyperSurf user name)
      2. In the Real name field enter your full name
      3. In the Return address field enter username@hypersurf.com
        (Where it says username, put your HyperSurf user name)
      4. Under Connection Method select Winsock (Network, PPP, SLIP)

    • Select Personal Info
      1. In the POP account field you should have username@popd.hypersurf.com
        (Where it says username, you should have your Hypersurf user name)
      2. In the Real name field you should have your full name
      3. In the Return address field enter username@hypersurf.com
        (Where it says username, you should have your HyperSurf user name)
    • Select Hosts
      1. In the POP account field you should have username@popd.hypersurf.com
        (Where it says username, you should have your HyperSurf user name)
      2. In the SMTP field enter smtp.hypersurf.com
      3. Leave the Ph field blank
      4. Leave the Finger field blank

    • Select Checking Mail
      1. In the POP account field you should have username@popd.hypersurf.com
        (Where it says username, you should have your hyperSurf user name)
      2. Uncheck Leave mail on server
      3. In the Authentication style select Passwords
      4. Leave everything else as default.

    • Leave everything else as default
      Click OK
