To setup your Windows XP DSL connection you need a Network Interface Card
(NIC). This setup process assumes you have your NIC installed and setup on
your computer. Refer to your NIC's manual for instructions on how to do this.
The following instructions should help you get up and running.

- Click on the Start Menu, then choose All Programs, then
choose Control Panel.
- Next depending on your setup, you will see one of two screens. If you do
not see the following screen, go here.
A) 
- If you see the screen above, double click on Network and Internet
Connections. You will then see the following screen.

- Next double click on the Network Connections Control Panel in
the bottom corner.
Afterwards, you will be taken here.
OR...
B) 
- If you see the screen above, double click on Network
Connections.

should look the same)

- Right click once on Local Area Connection, then choose
Properties.

- Make sure Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is checked. Then highlight
it, and click the Properties button.

- Put a dot next to Use the following IP address.
- In the IP Address box, type the IP address that was given to you.
- In the Subnet Mask box, type the Subnet Mask that was given to
you.
- In the Default gateway box, type the Gateway IP Address that was
given to you.
- Put a dot next to Use the following DNS server addresses.
- In the Prefered DNS Server box, you should have
209.237.0.8.
- In the Alternate DNS Server box, you should have
207.5.0.40.
- Click the OK button, the click the OK button again and you
will be taken back to the Network Connections window.
- Now restart your computer, and you should be ready to start using DSL!
