 MAC OS X - Static DSL Connection

Please follow these directions to setup your Static DSL connection in MAc OS X:

To configure Mac OS 10 for static ip address with DSL , launch the System Preferences application from the Apple menu or from the Dock. Click on Network.

Follow these steps:

  1. Set to Built-in Ethernet

  2. Click on the TCP/IP tab

  3. Set Configure to Manual

  4. Enter your IP address

  5. Enter the Subnet Mask. It's always: 255.255.0.0

  6. Enter the Router address here. It's first two numbers are the same as the first two number of the IP address. The second two numbers are always 0.1.

  7. Enter the Domain Name Server addresses: 209.237.0.8, 207.5.0.40

  8. Enter hypersurf.com for the Search Domain

  9. Click the Apply Now button
