Spam Bouncer

The Spam Bouncer is a set of procmail recipes, or instructions, which search the headers and text of your incoming email to see if it meets any of a number of conditions. The suspected spam is sorted into one of two categories - mail from known spam sources and potential spam. The program can be setup to delete the spam, tag it and let it through, send the sender a simulated bounce message, complain to upstream providers, etc.

Features
  • Detect email from an email address known to belong to a spammer.
  • Detect email from known spam source sites, domains or hosts.
  • Detect email from rogue ISPs who permit spamming from their sites.
  • Detect email from bulk email programs whose only purpose is to send junk email.
  • Detect email with headers or body text that matches the filter's profile of probable spam.
  • Tag suspected spam and send to your mailbox OR
  • Tag suspected spam, delete known spam and file suspected spam in a separate folder OR
  • Send a simulated bounce message to known spammers OR
  • Complain to upstream providers of known spammers OR
  • Notify senders of suspected spam that their email was intercepted and give them a password to resend their email and bypass the spam filtering.

To enable Spam Bouncer log into the control panel  and double click the spam bouncer icon and enable spam bouncer.
